    looking to connect ipod touch to cd70. Do i just get a fm modulator from Halfords???

    I tried connection my ipod touch to my ipod compatible jvc headunit and it would charge or recognise it so be careful.

    yes be careful your ipod is only 5v not 12v like your car

    yes be careful your ipod is only 5v not 12v like your car
    Is the touch different from other ipods? That link at post No2 is my setup and the charging lead works fine. My ipod (classic) says 5-30V on the back.

    My touch (which I'm using to type this post) will not charge with my Harmon Kardon drive n play, it does however play ok. The Touch says "charging not supported by this device", had the same problem with a USB ciggy charger
