That's awesome! Can I have a go, can I sit in the driving seat and sing Summer Holiday by Cliff Riichard? What kind of licence do you need to drive that?

Nice bus mate! what engine is it running?.I did my apprenticeship with Bristol Omnibus so worked on these tho they would have been a it later. The main stay of the fleet were VRT's a few LH and FLF training buses.Rebuit a few LXBs in my time and remember changing piston and liners insitu on the RE's, a really simple but reliable chassis.
That's a lovely restoration job mate. I would love to do this if I had the money, the time and the premises.

Stunning mate. It warms my heart when I see old vehicles restored and being used on the roads, knowing the graft and dedication it takes.
I'm sure I've seen that one before, have you and the bus been on telly or in the papers this year?
eh, the vec c's that big it might as well be a bus!
do you attend the pops rally in Stoke (usually held in may, lots of bus/coaches etc) ? will try & post a few pics later...well worth going
Thank you all for your lovely comments.
It took me over two years to restore her and over £10,000.00 (ouch!!), but its been well worth it.
I used to driver buses for a living with Crosville and remember travelling on such majectic vehicles when I grew up. The big treat in the year for me was to travel on the Crosville coach from Blaenau Ffestiniog (home town) to Chester.
The bus is a Series 2 Mark 1 Bristol RELH with a Gardner 6HLX, 10.45litre engine.
I've done quite a few shows, mainly all over North Wales, Birkenhead and Liverpool and ended up on the front cover of the Bus & Coach magazine a few years ago. I'm very proud of the restoration as I am proud of my Vectra SRI!!!!
Thanks guys again,
Rich
