Flickering HID'S

Hi bought my Vectra a while ago and have been complaining to my little brother, who has them fitted to his Vectra B GSI. My good little brother bought them for me for Christmas. I was CHUFFED

I then had a go fitting them. I read Green Growler's excellent "how to". When I fitted one of them I put the lights on BRILLIANT

until I put the engine on. I have read a number of posts about flickering lights

. I am asking whether this Bulb Alarm Faliure Fix for £19.99 (Pair) will work or is there any other way that I can buy. I am too lazy to do the soldering and I dont want to buy a new kit.

Did yours not come with the bulb warning cancellers???

What kit do you have?

Yep, those bulb failure alarms should do the trick if you don't already have them.

They work really well on his Vectara B "GSI" and when I fitted them they were really bright. Thanks lads for your replies

Don’t carry on using them while they are flickering, you will damage the ballast, and sooner or later it'll burn out all together.

Thanks I have removed them and I am currently waiting for HID's direct to send me the new wiring seemed good value at £19.99 + postage

Only Problem he is only going to be back in work untill 5.1.9

Do your bulb failure come on currently? If not, then the price for these kits is NOT good value, as you only need a small capacitor between the +ve and earth to prevent the flicker. These cost less than a quid from eg Maplins.
