    Default 2.2 Sri

    Hey Guys,

I've only had my Vec 2.2 Sri two weeks but already put a K&N 57i filter on it, Its amazingly loud when u put your foot down but im still unsure to if it has/hasn't caused issues with power! I've read a few posts about it sucking hot air from the engine etc and causing power issues, i didn't have my car long enough before i put on to guage how much power it had! (my own stupid fault there). So here its my questions, what can be done to stop it from sucking air in? What have others done?

Does anyone have a link to a k&N which is enclosed or comes with a head shield?

Also, i've ready a few posts about this airbox mod but haven't found out what it is, can anyone explain?

    Cheers Cos

The 2.2 hates induction kits mate, you will actually be losing power on the YH/SE. The best bet is to get a K&N panel filter. Same K&N filtration but with the added bonus of a sealed cold air feed.

you could allways try and house the cone filter in the original air filter housing and add a cold air feed to it. but like rushy says these 2.2 hate induction kits and u will be alot better off with a panel filter.hth
