Air flow meter/engine emissions light

I took my car in a couple of days ago because it was in limp home mode and the dash showed emissions warning light on as well as the spanner light. The fault code that came up was the air flow meter which I have now replaced. The car is running better (but not perfect) but the lights are still on, do I need to get the faults deleted or will the ECU re-set itself after a few turns of the key?

i think u need to get the fault deleted or disconect bat for 30mins.

I've disconnected the battery for an hour or so but no difference so think I may have to go and get it plugged in and deleted

You will probably have an EGR or boost pressure fault logged
