No real meaning behind this thread (just curious), but if you had a techy problem or wanted tech/non tech advice, would you use the forum search facility before posting?
Yes, I always/sometimes use the forum's search option.
No, I never search and just post away.

I normally do , but sometimes it's just easier to post up.
Cheers Pete
For a technical issue yes I normally use the search facilty.
normaly do but i forget sometimes![]()
"Search" button before making a new thread, yes. Works great sometimes, other times it's not so good.
Not before making a post in an existing thread though - it seems like too much work, because hundreds of things come up in the searches sometimes :S
I have been here for a while. If I can remember a posting for a problem, I do both, I ask for help then look for existing threads. Or do it the other way round.
I'm with everyone above on this.
There's been a few threads recently, albeit from new members (mostly), where a question's asked and no replies in say 24 hours and the member re-posts or bumps their thread. So I go to search past related threads/posts and within a matter of minutes have come up with many, many associated answers.
Maybe the sometimes overlooked but very useful/valuable search option needs promoting a bit more on the forum?![]()
Open to any and all suggestions! Many people quite obviously don't bother to search first before starting a thread - laziness more than likely as it's not exactly easy to miss the search button. Maybe I should make the text red? If it stops yet another TC button thread then that'd be a success!

V-Sport have an announcement screen you have to go through before you enter the forum. I have only seen it once or twice, think it was when they changed some Buying/Selling rules. Perfect for reiterating things.
As Ed said. Being on here from nearly the beginning and always scan all of the "Todays Posts" you tend to remember threads or guys who have or would have known the answer. The Search button should be used more by all of us. As said the amount of TC and or Cam Chain, BSR, tuning box threads that pop up every day, when a simple search would give the answer. To be fair though its usually from new guys.
allway's search but i alway's know who to ask via pm if i need more indepth help
