    Default The BEST xmas present!

I've not been around for a couple of days because after nearly five years on the list my mum had a kidney transplant yesterday. The best present anybody can ask for and she's doing really well. Just a thought for the poor person who donated it and their family at this time of year.

The ultimate gift in my opinion, a better life for somebody else, God bless them. If you're NOT a donor, please have a think about it, that's all I can ask.

    Merry Christmas to you all,

    Robbie

Merry Christmas Robbie and all the best for your mum for a speedy recovery from the Op.

At least the other persons family can take some comfort from the fact that their loved one helped someone else achieve a much better life.

Glad to hear your mom is doing ok now. But as you say it is sad for the donor,s family.
I been a blood donor for many years for the benifit of others. It is a good idea to be a donor, be it a blood donor or an organ donor.

Thanks guys, that's 12 hours a week she'll now have to go back to work instead of dialysis! So over the moon, works just can't describe. She's got her second grandchild due in 7 weeks too (yes I think it's mine LOL) so she should be over the worst in plenty of time. Funny how things work out, like the old song, what a difference a day makes!

    Thanks for your wishes.

And so have I and I can't stand needles but some things, such as life are too important IMO. I would only ask people to think if the boot were on the other foot.
