Default Snooper S2 GPS camera detector

Boxed with all the bits, changed under warranty only 6 weeks ago £60.00

Gives warning of ALL fixed camera sites, Gatso, Truvelo, Specs and also has a built in Laser alert for the mobile vans too.

    Very simple design,

Blue light flashes when your under spped for the camera (soft Bleep)
Red light if your over speed (bleeps like hell)

    Full Details

This new to the range Snooper S2 GPS speed camera detector with laser alert has been designed to help drivers concentrate more on their driving without having to constantly worry about their speed by providing advanced warning of ALL fixed speed safety cameras and speed traps. Not only that, you get this highly sophisticated Speed Camera Alert System

    NEW FEATURES

Using GPS (satellite) and laser technology, this Snooper S2 speed camera system compares your position to the position of all known danger spots and provides you with an audible and visual alert. The S2 alse includes two new features, AutoRanging and Speed Sensitive visual alerts.

    AutoRanging

The Snooper S2 will automatically calculate the distance required to warn you depending on the speed limit meaning you no longer have to set it manually. It will give 200m prewarning of a camera in a 30mph zone and up to 500m prewarning in a 70mph zone.

    S.P.A. Technology

NEW Speed Sensiitve Alerts on the S2 mean that you have a device that can help you maintain the correct speed. Upon approaching a Speed Camera or High Risk Zone the Snooper S2 will flash the red LED's if you are over the limit or the blue LED's if you are under the limit ensuring that you are always travelling at the correct speed.

Upgrades quickly and easily from your PC using Enigma Databases

Downloading your Snooper S2 and keeping it up to date with the very latest information is essential to it’s performance. GPS camera detection systems are only as good as the database of co-ordinates that are stored within them. That's why Snooper uses Enigma. Enigma consists of a dedicated team whose sole purpose is to research and manage a database of cameras and other points of interest not only in the UK, but across the rest of Europe as well. Please note however that the full European database is not available on all units at this time. To make using this database as simple as possible a system software has been developed that makes downloading to your S2 quick and easy. To access the comprehensive Enigma database, you simply connect your device to a compatible PC with internet access and the entire database will be downloaded in a matter of minutes

Just checked this unit is 1 year old on 5/5/06 so you can still update it.

warranty is 2 years so lots left

this is fully boxed, all leads and screen mount brand new and never used, even has the dash mount velcro pad.

Instruction pack, cd rom all the bits as if you got it brand new

if you but a new one you do not get free updates you have to pay for the 1st year up front!!!!!!!!!!!!!

£60.00 - thats the cost of just 1 speeding ticket not to metion the insurance increase

You say it picks up mobile units - but have you experienced that first hand - as I didn't think anything could pick them up.

    I may be interested.

Will read some reviews and await your response on the above.

Yes I have, however the mobile vans now use a narrow band laser which can pin piont a vehicle, the only way any laser detector can pick up a signal is

    1. the gun has been aimed at your vehicle

    2. the gun has been aimed at a vehicle near by and the laser has been deflected off a surrounding object

I have had a few of advance warnings and also a couple of direct hits (under the limit) it has saved me on camera vans at least twice.

the only way to be safe on the vans is to buy a jammer but these are £200 + secondhand just for the jammer then an extra £200+ for a unit such as the Origin B2 to work with the jammer.

For £60.00 u can't go wrong on the unit, the fixed location warning is great, even if you know where they are its so easy to drift a couple of miles over and FLASH
