    Default Collinite 915 - I like!

Following on from this thread, I got some Collinite 915 to replace the 476s that I'd run out of and had been using normally. Got a kit with some micro-fibres and applicator pads from Elite Car Care and had it delivered up here to my folks before I headed up for Christamas

Gave the car a full wash (pressure washer rinse, snow foam, going over with mitt and two buckets, snow foam again and then rinse) - then a full claying as it hadn't had a clay for a while - and it needed it.

Today I then set to with the deep detail. First was a polish with Megs Deep Crystal Polish. I know there are better polishes out there, but I've still got some of this left so I'll use it up and then look at something else.
Next was a coat of Megs #21 sealer. I love this product as it works a treat on the Ultra Blue colour. I'll look at experimenting with other stuff in the future, but this is a firm favourite of mine.
Then it was out with the Collinite 915. I noticed that the wax was harder than the 476 (probably due to the higher Carnuba content) but when loaded onto an applicator pad it applied easily. I also found that it polished off more easily than the 476 which was a bonus.

And that was that! As I had to then dash off for a dental appointment (routine check-up) I took the quickest of snaps as evidence of all my hard work.

EDIT: I know the tyres aren't nice and shiny. I only brought a small cleaning kit to do bodyworkand alloys, so didn't pack the tyre gel.

Duncan. I recomend you try Victoria Concours Wax in the summer. I think it is a brilliant wax too. I use it and am very pleased with the results.

oooooogh very smart. #21 and 915/476 is hard to beat when it comes to winter protection.

Like the Festive aerial in the second Pic.
