    Default front valance preface

    how do I remove it do i just pull it off..thanks

    also I am gonna be spraying my irmy valance flame red, will I need to laquer it or not

    my old car it was stapled on so duno abt the vectra's valance but deffo laquer it!!!

    You mean the black rubber lip? It just pulls off from the bumper. Look closely and you'll see how it's attached.

    Re painting - yes, you'll need it lacquered and make sure the paint has plasticiser in it to allow for flex.

    my front valance had a torque screw at either end of the bumper..remove them then it all pops off.
    what you using to paint it?solid colour will be fine alone..but if using basecoat,laquer it to finish it.

    If the cars lowered then yes, you need to be more careful or the rubber lip's gonna get ripped off. That's why I've never bought a splitter as it would get ripped off at the first multi-storey I went to. At least the rubber lip flexes a bit.

    After having mine lowered, and lip painted, I'm even more careful if I have to park facing a kerb in a car park (usually because I need to get access to the boot). Still managed to scuff it a few times but the paint stands up pretty well as it was done with plenty of plasticiser.

    Ours is the same it catches all over the place, on the incline into the local Tesco Metro and up the drop kerb into a couple of friends houses, I've had to push it back on a few times.
