2.2 Sri Gearbox

Hi i have a 2003 Vectra Sri 2.2. im just wondering do the earlier vectra B 2.2 gearboxes fit as im trying to source a replacement box.

Also does anyone know the engine and gearbox numbers for the above mentioned Vectra?

Engine is a Z22SE, the box is a F23. The boxes are slightly different in our vec c's because they are hydraulically operated rather than cable. There may be a conversion kit, or you might be able to do it yourself. Your best bet is to get onto the 2.2 forum Z22SE.co.uk and ask over there, Vocky put a 6 speed from a vec c on his 2.2 VX220 using some Honda parts, he will see your post and sort you out im sure.

EDIT: Just to clarify is it the petrol 2.2 or diesel 2.2? The info I mentioned is for the petrol.
