    Default Gutted :(

Curbed my drivers front wheel last night, parking at a friends house, didn't realise how high the curb was and have scuffed the alloy on 2 spokes.

How gutted am I... never curbed an alloy in my drving life... feels like the newness has gone, after only 6 days. Have been in a bad mood all day.

It doesn't really show at the moment as the car is filthy. but when i wash it, it will stand out like a soar thumb....

Does anyone know how much chips away would charged to repair it.

You can sue the local council if it's damaged your car Tommy. Go and get a picture of the pothole and threaten to take them to the small claims court. They'll pay up rather then pay for the solicitor.

    Cheers Guys,

Will leave it a couple of weeks and get it sorted.

At least I know I can get it repaired, fairly cheaply. Feel better knowing that.

Get yourself a disposable camera and leave it in your car. It'll come in useful for all sorts of things (potholes, accidents etc)

Good idea that Alex, I had my phone as well, thing was when I did it it was black dark, I got out and ran my finger round the rim and it wasn`t damaged, in daylight though a couple of days later I noticed it was buckled, couldn`t feel it tho, by then they had repaired it, about 2 FT long, and a foot across it was !!

I curbed my left front on the day of my Grandma's funeral late last year. Couldn't be bothered at the time obviously, but now I can't stand to look at it. Really does my head in thinking I could be so careless but putting it into perspective it's really no that big a deal.

I have been quoted A$80 to repair so I had better get to it.
