HID kit install.. help

just went to install my HIDs and one side worked fine but the other side did not.. so i swapped the bulbs and 'POP'... its blowing the bulbs

any ideas whats wrong.. i wired them both up the same way... its plug and go how hard can it be

I found the problem but not the answer .... the bit where the warning cancellor connects to the Ballast can connect either way round... the clip can fit over the big OR the little notch on the ballast and the book does not say which way round it goes

had any1 got an idea ?

did u use a power probe to check which was the live? there are 3 wires in the multi plug on the vectra loom which goes to the standard old h7 bulb.

Will do that next time i have a go... gee im f daft.. havin 1 of them days

I managed to get my wiring the wrong way round on one side a couple of times before they worked... Although, they never popped the bulbs. (The instructions were... a picture with no text...)

From memory, the power plug on the ballast has a notch thingy on both sides, one is square, one has a slanted edge, the clip on the plug needs to go over the slanted one.
