Default A Creak But not Suspension

I think this is the right place for this, I have 2 creaks from the vectra, had them since I got the car but only really notice them when going over speed bumps etc, the 1st Im 99% sure its the radiator mounts I had a look this morning and at the top of the radiator there is a small spring on each side, I know there is an option to replace this with a rubber mount but do you have to remove the radiator or bumper to do this?

The 2nd is coming from the rear and its to do with the boot, with the boot shut if I press down on the rear right hand side over the light (driver side) there is no noise but if I move slightly left and press down again (now on the boot) it creaks. When the boot is open it doesnt do it, any ideas?

could it be the rubber bung/stops, try lubricating where they touch , also the boot is well known to want adjustment after a while you usually get an aw full racket when traveling on rough surfaces or speed bumps, remove plastic trim and drop the catch down a mil or two, try that and see how you go!.

Well just an update, I went to halfords this morning and got a can of liquid greese, sprayed loads onto the rad mounts (currently springs) and bingo no more creak over the speed bumps, how long this will last for Im not sure but I wanted to confirm the noise was coming from there before I actually changed the rad mounts.

I also got a can of liquid silicone, I sprayed it all round the boot seal and where the rubber bungs meet, bingo no more creak.

I've only had this vectra a few months but I already want the insigna lol maybe in a couple of years

Only had mine a few months also and same as you I want the insignia, got a brochure sent through from VX today and does look nice, interior does resemble some of the BMW's particularly the 3 Series, which makes a nice change for VX to at last enter the modern world with interiors!! mind you having said that I do like my interior especially as it's an Elegance model with all the bits as it were.
    Cheers Pete

I had a creak at the hatch area and it turned out the be the parcel shelf. I wrapped some plumbers PTFE tape round the lugs that the parcel shelf attaches itself to (either side of rear seats), then put the parcel shelf back in and no creaking now. Suppose the lugs were starting to get a bit of wear and allowing more movement. Has been creak free for months now.
