M5 hotels??

We are heading south next year and im looking to book a hotel to break up the trip for the kids. I have been looking at the usual suspect's hotel wise, travel inn, travel lodge etc but im hoping someone on here can give me a reccommendation on ones to book or avoid

Anything south of birmingham on or around the M5 would be perfect, all i really want is somewhere that is clean, decent grub and when i come out in the morning i still have a car

There's a Holiday Inn about 3 minutes off Junction 12. It's clean and tidy (my parents stay there when visiting me) and there's a lovely little restaurant/pub right next door which has a well-priced and varied menu.

There also one just off Junct 5 of the M5 mate, whychbold, right next to a macdonalds as well for the kiddies.

Theres a Travel Inn of junction 6 of the M5 which has a beefeater next door... or you could go a little further off the motorway for a better nights sleep and better food... this is my local... http://www.whitelionhotel.biz/

I'm there part time at the moment... just bought a new house there though, so I'll be there full time from Feb!
