    Default Dirty rear wheels

Has anyone else noticed that their rear wheels get dirty quicker than the fronts?this is the second vec c i've had and the previous one was the same, every other car i've had the fronts have always been the worst due to the front brakes doing most of the work i guess....

    cheers....

Yes it happens to mine I wonder if they use a different compound on the rear than the front..

Probably something to do with the back brakes being smaller so having to work a bit harder. Mines just had a service (51000 miles, second eco flex £220 ) and they reported the rear brakes worn 70%, front 60%. Original pads too.

I think it may well be more to do with the aerodynamics, sort of sucking the dirt onto the back half of the car. My rear alloys too get dirtier, but they clean easier, which makes me think it's general "road dirt" rather than brake dust.

Yep,i tend to think it's more road grime than brake dust as well....
