You need a few weeks to get what you want, patience is the key (and new shoes). Firstly you need to try and encourage her to buy something special, like shoes . Then you have to plant the seed, maybe when following an irmy kitted vec, you say, that looks nice doesn`t it, (if she agrees at this stage it`s yours). Then week 2 you slip into conversation how you are ****ed off as you were bidding on a spoiler on ebay and were outbid, should have bid a bit more, someone got a bargain (this is you telling her you are going to buy one). You can judge by the reaaction how long to wait before the final purchase is going to happen. Maybe let her buy something else at this point. Then you need to point out another couple of vecs, by this point she will be getting fed up with hearing about it ... You then need to tell her theres one on ebay for say £40.00, you need to be realistic with the price, too high she won`t be interested, too low and she will smell a rat .. She will agree at this point because she just want`s to stop hearing about the damned spoiler, and she has after all bought a pair of shoes and a handbag which were a lot more than £40.00 . You then buy the spoiler usng the usual eqation for car purchases ...

purchase price divided by 3 minus a fiver ....

Job done, tried and tested method of car modification for married man ....

'Been hitched for 29 years this July........and I've still no idea.
Maybe you should buy her something for herself - maybe a new steam iron.
Yes, that's sure to do the trick!!!
    Good luck,

    Wink

well all i do is say wot i want from the start and my wife will budget for it normally it will take time of course but patience is a vertue at the end of the day it's not a race to see who's gonna have the best car is it?

patience dear boy otherwise world war 3 happens

try giving her a time bracket ie:i have said to my mrs that i want my wheels repaired £120 front splitter painted £40 car mopped £40 all before show season and she said to me i can do that so you must comprimise.

    hope this helps......
