    Default can i make alarm chirp

    have a 2.2 sri 2003. it has a factory fitted alarm and the lights flash when it is armed but can i make it chirp??

    It doesn't bleep when you set it matey. Just flash the indicators.

    Welcome to the site Scottie,

    Very interesting question as I wanted to make mine do it as well, ever since I was watching silent witness on telly and his vec did it !!! Thought nice sound dept but I wish mine could beep ..

    You can get get an aftermarket speaker type thing put on that will do this, I had this put on my cossie when I had it. A good alarm supplier should be able to fit it.

    Alarm's probably controlled on Can Bus as I know aftermarket alarms we fit on Vec C wire in to Can Bus.
    I guess you could get a 12v beeper/sounder & wire it to an indicator bulb via a 5 pin relay connected to ignition so it doesn't beep all the time whilst you're normally indicating.

    think i will look into the aftermarket speaker. will phone around and let you know what happens
