Default Help needed - C0131 ABS Pressure Circuit

    Hi

The car started to display ESP failure it's been TECH'd and the failure code is C0131 ABS Pressure Circuit - "The measured value is out of range" (this is my traanslations as the TECH wasn't set to English).

I searched the web and found some "clues" like:
    a, ABS unit needs replacement (2000 Ä)
b, wrongly adjusted brake light switch

It's worth to mention that the rear brake pads are close to zero (will be replaced in a couple of days).

Do you have any idea what can cause this error?
I hope it's only because of the brake pads or the brake light switch....

    Any help is appreciated.

I wonder if the ABS system has any air where it should not have. Have you disconnected any brake hydraulic pipes recently?

Pipes were never disconnected and the brake fluid level is normal.

AFAIK the ABS in Vec C & Signum should release the air from the brake system, does it?

    Hi,
Same problem here. The ESP log an error and stop to function until restart the car. I notice the error appears when Iím pressing the breaks easily or unevenness of the road ( lotís in my country ).
Do you manage to find what can cause this problem?

    Hi

actually I coud solve it on my car

'Flushed' the brake system and now it's OK.

The brake fluid was quite dirty, like metal and dust would have been dissolved in it.

You can check easily to take a look into the brake fluid tank/reservoir and if it's not clean, then worth a try.
You can buy 2 x 0.5 liter brake fluid (grade DOT4 or above, check the car manual beforehand) and ask a friend to help you either pumping the brake or release the fluid. If you are not familiar with the process you can take it to a service...

    I hope it helps.
