Default Help please: seems the buyer of my CDC40 does not know how to fit it!!!

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64491

As for the post above I sold my HU to a member on here.
They are now asking for a refund because the HU show SAFE when fitted.

Doh I did explain in my ad that the HU would need to be Tech2'd into the new car but he insists that this is not the case and it should work start away.

So VX spent a small fortune on putting security on the HU's only to allow you swap in and out of a car and they work!

Come someone please back me up and tell the buyer it needs to be Tech2'd into his car as he wants a refund.

This is the first time I have ever had a problem with selling something on the forum.
    thanks for your help guys

Twin tuner so you do not lose your fm stations, better sound and a 6 CD player. some of the newer units also play MP3's. You can also add twin audio and DAB

Below is an ebay add for a CDC 40 direct from Blaupunkt in Germany.
£306 plus postage and without a GUID from what I can see. So the £150 the member paid is a bargin.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Blaupunkt-Radi...1%7C240%3A1318

If you read through the ad then you will see the following information:

Vauxhall Radio CDC 40 Opera - Charcoal metallic
    - Original part number: 13.113.151
    - This device is delivered without code which is not needed. The Vauxhall Service installs the radio without code in your vehicle using a diagnostics tester.
    - Without operating instructions. If desired, you can obtain it at any time from your appointed vehicle dealer.

Maybe Blaupunkt don't know what they are doing either

I think the buyer does not have the car security pass for the car as stated in my ad.

I have called their local dealer, Evans Halshaw and they say it will cost £45 as they have a set charge to do it. Not bad for 3 mins work. Now if only the buyer will take notice!

I will also confirm that it is the case that they need tech 2'ing out and tech 2'ing in if transferring to another vaehicle. Now that the answer has been confirmed a few times, and that was the point of the tread, I am now closing it, just to save anybody any embarrassment should this thread go daft
