Roof Box Advice

Planning a trip away and as the kids will be coming so will half the house, need a roof box.

My 2008 estate has roof rails, how does a roof box attach? what do i need to buy? anyone one got a pic of an estate with box?

You need the roof bars that attach to the rails - then the box clamps onto those bars with it's clamping system.

I managed to get a new set of vauxhall roof bars off the flee-bay for £50 & a well used but 100% intact & fully functional Thule roof box for £50 too. I reckon they would have cost £100 for the bars & around £300 for the box new.

Try to get one that opens & locks from either side as it can be very handy.
