It could be a number of things tbh, you at best could have valve stem oil seal trouble, or ring wear, the turbo is also a suspect, and a simple thing to check is that you've not overfilled it with oil.
what colour is the smoke?
Are you sure it's not just because of the cold weather mate. Mine is very smokey, but has only started since it got cold and looking at other cars it's very similar, just down to the condensation. Blue smoke is the sign of a wearing turbo.
The smoke is blue and you can smell fuel plus it is using a lot of oil
If the smoke is blue then that's a tell tale sign of turbo failure. If you have a search through Duncan's thread he sent his to turbo technics for a service after the actuator failed. Not sure what would have to be done if the turbos capoot, but I'm sure it'll be cheaper than getting a new one.
Hmmm, sounds ringy, you need a compression check on it before you fork for a turbo.
I've had turbo failure on 2 cars in the past and both times its white smoke, very thick white smoke in fact due to the very high temperatures associated with a turbo. Check the intercooler aswell (for oil).
Blue smoke is the sign of a lower temperatures i.e valve stem seals.
Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !
Thanks for the advise
