Don't think it needs the batttery disconnected, but probably no harm in doing so.

What problem are you having, what have you been trying to do?

Have you removed the trim around the screen? i..e. the bit with the vents on it. Once that is off then the screen simply unscrews out.

The display screen got damage and its all blurred, you wont see the date, time, temp,

I was thinking of buying another part to replace it, I know what you mean about the bit with the vent, I was worry what if I did break it? how can I take it off then unscrews out?

    and then what?

    cheer

Sorry Gary you've lost me a bit. What have you tried so far and what exactly is it you need to know? Are you asking how does the screen come out? I touched on that in my last post but for a full How 2 I'm pretty sure there is a thread in the How 2 section.

I've done nothing so far, I wish I could take the picture and shown you and you will see what I mean,

all I want is how could I take the vent frame off and then unscrew the display screen out and replace it the new display screen and then put the vent back,

if I do that then do I need the security code in case anything happen?

    What HU do you have?

To get the screen out unclip the strip that runs across above the gloveboxand below the vents, with this removed you'll see the screws for the vent assembly.

    Vehicle : 9-3 Wagon

    Trim : Turbo Edition

    Engine : TID (1.9 16v)

    Year : 2010

    Mileage : 137000

Pull the Silver trip strip up from passenger door, then along to the stereo. There are 4 T25 (or T 20's) that need to come out. The Vent/Screen just lifts out from the bottom. The Screen then needs to be unplugged. There are then 4 screws that hold the screen. £ min job tops. Regarding the screen, I think, (could someone confirm this?) the old half can-bus is just plug and play. You don't have to disconnect the battery. HTH

PS, mine is the 2005 and i've had the screen out loads of times no problem.
