Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres

Hi all, Has anyone used or currently using Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres, and if so what are your thoughts on them?

I need 2 new boots for mine (fronts), currently on Mitchelin Pilots Primacy and found them pretty good, they have done 18k so quite pleased with that!

The new Asymmetrics are one of if not the best tyre around after reading some tyre magazines they got huge applause

The old GSD3's are still very good though

chears mark, its the GSD3s i am looking at, any idea what milage i should be getting out of a pair?

Driving dependent is all I can say mate. I've chewed through my front ones in 10k, but dare say if I'd swapped them before that I could've got over 15k. They are soft though and aimed at grip rather than endurance. A great tyre and I'd buy them again if I had the cash, currently looking at Kumho KU31 Ecstas.

You do get more feedback from the road with these tyres, but they do grip well.

F1-A's wear like nothing else I've used. I lost half the tread in 4000 miles on the front of my Astra, yet Vredestein Ultracs on the front still had 3mm tread after about 18k on the front and gave pretty much similar grip and marginally better feedback through the steering.

So, they're a good enough tyre, but there's better out there.

I did a comparison test earlier in the year
Eagle F1 GSD3 v Primacy SZE
The Primacy although a good performing tyre did not last as long
I am now comparing the Dunlop Sport Maxx against the Eagle F1 GSD3

Michelin is normally my preferred tyre, so I was really disappointed by the Primacy
So far the Dunlop is performing almost identically to the Eagle F1 GSD3

I've driven 10000km (6215 miles) with my F1-Asymmetrics last summer, and there is still 6-7mm tread left on the front and 7-8mm on the rear tyres. Car is 3.2 Vec. They do grip very well on dry or wet. Much better than NCT5's which I had before. Currently I'm driving with Michelin X-Ice North, great grip on icy roads...

Hade some icy weather up here and they really struggled for grip to such an extent that I couldn't get out the street, which is on a short but steep hill, the wifes Mini and sons Corsa coped no problem.

They were that bad I'm considering changing them to give me some reassurance with the bad weather that has no doubt still to come.

They were ok in dry and wet weather it just appears to be the cold they do not like.

They do need to be warmed up a bit before they work properly. Down to the soft rubber.
