    Default Saloon boot water ingress

Ive heard of quite common water leaks on the hatch Vectras is under the roof channels, some sealent or other dries out and lets water in, and it runs down the C pillars into the back edges of ther boot...and have seen the How2 to get the roof lining out on a hatch, but how do you go about it in a dr saloon??

My Dads '02 Elite 4dr has water ingress in the back corners of the boot, and its got that bad a couple of times that the speare wheel well was 2 inch deep!

I'm pretty sure its not coming from the back lights and the boot seal is in good condtion and intact, so i'd reckon on it being the roof gutters or the ariel seal, both of which i'm going to need the headlining down to look at, so my question is, how do i get it down?....also, how do the roof gutters unclip, as i dont want to beak the clips ad Vauxhall will only sell a case!!

    Thanks in advance

PS, I did search for saloon water leak and headlining etc but nothing came up.

My hatch had similar problems and turned out to be leaking in from around the side vent which is hidden under the rear bumper. Theres one on each side. If you take off the rear bumper you can clearly see them. I siliconed mine in and cured the problem.

Seems strange to have the water in the saloon boot
It could be a bad seal around the rear lights.
If it was the aerial base, surely the headlining would be wet?

Have a look here, this is how I explained about removing the headlining in the saloon:
(this was for the rear interior light, but it should help)

    Cheers Ian

I'm pretty sure it isnt the rear lights, as it is appearing around the area of the boot cubbys, so suggests that its running down the inside of the C pillars same way as the Hatch water leaks do.

I managed to unclip the passenger side roof gutter, but couldnt see anywhere that water may get in, apart from something that was riveted from the inside, and was abit loose (I'll try and get a pic of it)....anyone any further ideas please?

Its deffinately coming from above as i reached up from the passenger side boot cubby and there is some fealt or something and thats wet through.
