saw the insignia today

This evening I dropped the wife of for her Xmas dinner with her mates, on the way home I stopped at the opel dealers. Inside was the Insignia. It has been available here now for almost one month, however I have not seen a single one on the road. nobody seems to be buying them. Wrong car at the wrong time ?

I asked at our local dealers a couple of weeks ago, I was told that:

Over here, the Insignia is due into dealers anytime soon, but not officially on the road until sometime in January.

I saw the first one on the road today, with local reg plates. Still seems to be a very rare beast !

I ask the question again as i have every time the Insignia gets mentioned...when does the ad campaign get under way on the tele or are VX giving it a miss? Usually when car makers launch a new model its on the box to make people aware it's actually out there and available.

Intresting point, the new Superb hasn't had much of an ad campaign either, there is a stylish commercial for it, but I've yet to see it on tv, maybe it's a case of those that might buy will be aware of the car and business will get e.mailed or flyered and data might show that John Smith the assistant manager at Sommerfield's doesn't buy new cars so there's no point wasting money showing it on tv.

I went to look at one on Christmas eve, it was the SRi model and i was very disapointed. Dont like the shape what so ever and to be an SRi model if it didnt have the badge you would think it was an LS.
