    Default 2.2 dti tuning box HELP

    Got a 2.2dti vectra ( old shape) while I save for a cdti 150!!

    Bought a "TD performance" tuning box from ebay which has some basic instructions with it but I'd appreciate any help- what would be really good is a picture of where to splice the wires- it's a digital unit so I guess they're much of a muchness.

    Seems to have 4 wires to splice in- yellow one for the throttle sensor, brown one for 12v switched live, grey one to the injection pump and black one to the mass (which I assume is airflow meter )

    Anybody got something similar wired in they could post a pic of?? Any similar engine with the VP44 pump such as the 2.0dti would do.

    Default 2.2/2.0 digital tuning box FOR SALE

    got the thing fitted, and it overfuels the engine and brings the management light - as I already have a powerchip fitted the tuning box is overkill seemingly.

    Ive tried it on settings 8, 4 and 2 and given up

    So it's going back on e-bay unless anyone wants it for £80

    fit anything with a VP44 pump according to the book- audi 2.5v6, vaux 2.0 and 2.2 engines, etc.

    It's a TD performnace box btw

    ******!!

    took the tuning box off, and the engine man light STILL comes on all the time.

    If I reset the ecu, car starts fine, moves off ok than light comes on about half a mile down the road and i have to limp back home.

    I wonder whether the fact that I used scotchlok connectors would cause this, if the wiring was exposed on the throttle sensor wire, for example- anybody any clues

    Last time it went into limp home mode i cleaned the crank sensor connectors and it was ok- not this time tho!!

    Try getting the code read..May give you a beter idea of what's triggering the management light..

    I would be dubious about using scotchlocks for any critical connections..Lets hope the fault is simple..

    Hi Mate

    The good fellows of the RAC turned up in the tango van and duly prescribed a sticking egr valve, which i had removed and cleaned to gain access to the pump wiring

    So all is well- I'll now stop throwing money at this car and save for a new one.

    Hope you like the 3.2- I had the 2.5 sri old shape vectra and it was smoother than a politicians promises..just couldnt live with the mpg...
