Default Old School Games & Toys

List em up, all the stuff that floated yer boat as a kid, here's my two faves, more info you can provide the better.

1 - Flight Deck - This was iirc an Airfix toy that you had a Phantom jet on a wire and had to land it on a cardboard flight deck, there was also Flight Deck 2, the difference was the plane was yellow iirc and the deck was slightly different, hours of fun.

2 - Vertibird - Helicopter game, rotated from a central unit and the game was to drop a barrier and retrieve a car with the hook on the helo, lots of fun but broke easily, think this one was a Mattel toy but not sure.

Ah, Flight Deck, I had that VV, great fun. You could put obstacles in the way & fly round them as well. FD2 used to wind itself back up IIRC but I never saw one.

My mate had a helicopter not sure if its the one you mentioned but his was a twin rotor type & you could pick up & drop drums, pipes & stuff with it, again superb fun!

We used to set them up next to each other & were military pilots flying daring missions, dodging each other

Another thing that sticks in my mind was the Binatone , that orange & black console you could play tennis, footy & squash, all white blocks & beeps. In it's day it was cutting edge stuff!

I got a call from my parent to say they had been in the loft and were clearing things out. They had found some toys of mine and did I want them. I went round and most went in the bin but I found a subbuteo set. It was a world cup edition still sealed. I thought I would stick it on Ebay and was shocked at how much I got for it.

I am giving my age away here. I had a Mamod Traction Engine and some Mecchano, in my younger days......... I have still got the Traction Engine. ( it must be nearly 40 years old now).

That mini Galaxian machine I remember well, I spent almost a weeks wages on one back in 1981 iirc, cost about £25 but I had to have one, lol.
