    Default Windscreen Washers.......

run the washer fluid bottle empty, filled it right to the top and turned the washers on and nothing came out.....!

thought damm - blocked washers...... cleaned the jets and retried the washers.

nothing came out......checked the bottle and only half of the fluid left.

must have a split in the pipe - anyone else had this and how do I fix it?

many thanks if you can help.

Yep, find the leak and fix it! Although it may take some tracing but it doesn't go to far. Would have thought you would see that much fluid on the floor. Does the back one work ok?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

If you only use water then it can freeze and split the fluid bottle/pipes. Can you hear the motor work when you try the washers?

Any water coming out from under the car when u use the washers?

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

    very strange......

missus sits in the seat, filled the fluid back up (took 700ml) had the bonnet up, she pulled the stalk and all jets worked.

one thing I noticed was how noisy the pump was when the cars stationary.

oh well - I must stop running the bottle dry.
