    confused CDC40 Upgrade

Had my 07 sri for couple of weeks now, bought a cdc40 unit, screen and dab aerial from local breakers today. Installed unit and all working fine apart from dab stations, it just brings up dab box fault! From reading other threads I seem to be missing this dab unit, when I asked the breaker who has the complete car he said he didn't know what this was or where it is fitted. Anyone know where exactly this box is fitted and if i get it will it just plug in and dab will work? Also can cdc40 play mp3 discs? The unit came from a 07 Elegance. First post here so any help would be good!

The dab box is fitted under the glove box,top left corner. You will need the aerial cable and wiring harness as well if you have not already got it in your current car. Its a small box about 6" by 4" by 1.5" and u will need the bracket it is attached to.

The aerial lead goes all the way to the aerial and is in two parts, first part from dab box to right hand side of the drivers footwell and then from there to the aerial. Best thing is to remove the dash and take the complete harness then you can strip out the wires u need.

As regards MP3's just put a disk in and see if they play. There is a mp3 symbol somewhere in the GUID. It is only the later versions that will play MP3's so you might be lucky

...and presumably the DAB aerial itself?

also first poster, was going to ask exactly the same question

i have the head unit, aerial, dab unitm screen but no harness, aerial lead or bracket!

i have tried ringing vauxhall up and they were useless - booked it in at mpg to check.

does anybody know the part numbers i would need or a suitable breaker?

    thanks for any help.......
