    Default Taking your advise AJA

After you recommended Pentagon in Oldham i have booked my car in for a number of faults. I will let you know how i go on.
    The faults are :
Bad gear change 1st to 2nd, rattling tailgate, clutch stiffens up on motorways, noisey rear brakes and rain sensitive wipers work when they feel like it.

Can identify with the heavy clutch. I had the clutch pedal return spring replaced for the same reason. Made a very slight difference. Mine is 2.2 dti and i have spoken to a few Vectra & Omega owners with the same engine who have also noticed it going heavy after a trip. My gear change is fine, the wipers can a go bit off on their own, i just rock the sensitive switch on the stalk a few times and it cures them.

Let us know how you go on.

Hmmm, mines the 1.9 CDTI 120. If i change gear straight away its ok, or if i change it very quickly its also ok, but if the revs are over 2500 its a pig.
My wipers also go ok if i mess with the switch. If they change the clutch spring will that be done under warranty ? As for the tailgate noise, this only happens every now and again so not sure if they will sort it.
    Thanks for the replies chaps......

Well I've had my car in today, and the chaps at VX Oldham say they cant find anything wrong with my car. So all the faults seem to have disappeared for the day!
In the frenzy of trying to find the faults they left my pristine car in a filthy state. How they can get dirty boot prints all over the trim baffles me! They even managed to bend an aniversary card I had in my glove box, and throw everything I had in the boot all over the place. At least the "Technician" greased the boot lock. But why grease the rubber stays?
Anyway all is not lost, I ordered the sunglases holder for £7.99 + vat.
