    Default HPI Savage 4.6ss

Well as it was my birthday last friday, I decided to treat myself to a HPI Savage SS 4.6. Been out of the RC loop for too long, bit of a shame most models are RTR now. Cannot wait to get started building it.

Just wondered if anyone else has one of these and what you think of it.

And Very nice too, Not had the Savage but used to have Tmaxx's (Ntiro) and the Emaxx (electric version) had a good laugh with them, and spent a fortune on all the alloy upgrades and new exhausts and wheels / tyres.... recently bought an esky Belt-cp helicopter but haven't used it yet (or even taken it out of the box)

Sounds like your in for some fun with it..

LOL - have been thinking about 3 speed box and would like to get a alloy roll cage for it at some point. Not even built and thinking of mod'n it! Later down the road an OS30 for more power

Heli sounds like good fun, heard they are hard to fly....

ha ha... Let the modding begin lol...

had such a laugh when we had ours, had suc a range of tyres to choose from aswell...

As for the Heli, well it was only after me and my bro in law bought one each that we heard they were hard to fly, and we bought the CP version which has controllable blade pitch, to be honest i'll more than likley sell mine in the new year as it'll be a nightmare to fly..

LOL I can never seem to leave things alone.......

As for the Heli have a go mate. Get some training undercarriage, basically sticks with ping pong balls on - you will have a hard time crashing it on landing as they are as wide as the props!!

Really give it a go!! I have a micro heli (indoor job made of polyurethane)
    not too bad at all

Used to fly model planes for years and had a hurricane that went over 100mph! Was told when I was learning that flying a plane was like balancing a brush pole on one hand and flying a heli was like trying to balance a pole on each hand. Join a club and get some lessons as it will save you loads of money in bits. Got another plane last year for christmas and built it in two days but have yet to fly it.
