    Default EDS Remap on a 2.0T Z20NET

I was in at Midpoint Garage today and Ian mentioned EDS are now doing a remap for the Z20NET, he mentioned he'd done one for someone already a couple of months ago; by any chance are they on here and have they any feed back on the remap?

The EDS remap claims 215PS (212hp) for £480? This is slightly cheaper than BSR (Via LMF) and approx the same power as BSR claim (204hp) .I also like the Idea that Ian is local should there be any problems / queries. There isn't the same BSR support on my doorstep!

Ian also mentioned the protection systems that the EDS remap has limiting power when enginer cold / too hot. It seems like the way to go.

So if anyone has any feedback you might be able to swing it for me and I'll get my wallet out.

    Cheers

    Dennis

I'm not aware of anyone on here having the EDS map on the 2.0T. I would expect being an EDS map it'll be in the same league as the BSR, and as you say being on your doorstep is a plus point. Would be interesting to see your thoughts if you went that route.

BTW, the BSR has the same protection as the EDS - it won't give you full power until it's warmed up.

    Thanks Duncan,

I can see the advantages to BSR but i feel i'd be paying for the option to be able to remove the remap that I don't intend on using, there is also a saving going EDS. EDS do seem to have a good reputation with Astra turbo's and Vectra VXR's.
I need to have a good think!

Originally I was looking at 3.2v6 Signum's a year ago but decided to go the 2.0T route for economy, a couple of times I regreted the decision. Its now not worth the swap with the money i've spent on my signum, for £480-£550 I would be ITRO of the V6 power (ok not in terms of torque)!

It looks like EDS in the short term unless anyone fancies swapping a 04' V6 Design for an 04' 2.0T Design

As D said being EDS it'll be just as good and with Midpoint round the corner it's a win win situation
