    Default MPG in my GSi

    Hiya folks,

I had a 130 mile run on the motorway today and returned a pleasant 35.5mpg overall. (15 miles to M25, M25 then a bit of M4, and then 10 miles to destination and back home again). - M25 pretty heavy so flow of traffic only about 65mph which obviously helped mpg!

The outward journey was reading about 39mpg at one point after about 60miles!

I had to get the ECU remapped by VX yesterday due to the ol' "Car and Spanner" icon coming up on the dash after the Speedo and rev counter not working. So I was very pleased with that too!

Got to play with my SatNav (Navigon Mobile Navigator 5.1 Software I've recently installed in replace of the Destinator ND software on my Bluemedia BM6300 - very pleased with it's functionality!!!! )

    ATB
    Grant.

Current average Mpg of the beast is 27.9 for mixed motoring..It only sees mid 30's on the superlong motorway runs...and it's still on 17's..

Still, be honest.. we never brought them for thier 'fantastic' economy did we??

You're right - Economy wasn't the reason for the V6 purchase - the sound and power bands are so addictive!

If I'm travelling in heavy traffic where all you can do is "go with the flow" then I pretty much make it a game in getting the best mpg!!!! - sad I know, but I like a challenge!
