    Default BlueTooth Hands Free Options

    Morning All

I’m trying to decide the best option for a Bluetooth hands free kit…

In the past I’ve had the Parrot, which was great, but to be honest, I don’t fancy pulling my dashboard apart and having the unit behind the stereo (if I can get away with it) but will if I have to, plus a colour screen with caller info is not necessary (just look at the phone).

I’d like a simple system – microphone, with a decent speaker. Ideally, the sound/power would come through/from the system stereo, but I’ll see.

What about the Vauxhall fitted BlueTooth? I have the small grill under the rooftop panel (near the sensors) so I am guessing a microphone would normally go in there?

A friend says he has one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Visor-Lite-B.../dp/B000WDVYUA and that it is pretty good – should I be staying away from something like this?

    Any ideas would be great.

    Cheers

You could stick with Parrot, I use a Parrot PMK5800 Blue tooth to the phone, and FM txr to the CD70. works well.

You could always get a headunit with it built in? I don't know which are good and which arent. Has anybody on here got experience with one?

My wife bought me the Navman SE50 GPS unit for my birthday, last Saturday gone, and this has handsfree bluetooth built in. Easy to setup and use and works a treat with my LG Viewty.

    Regards

    Eek

Am in the middle of fitting the genuine vauxhall bluetooth.
All the components are approx £300.00
Then you have fitting and tech 2 to deal with.
Best guy to speak to is andy L.
He will sort you out with a modified wiring harness (Plus fitting if required i would imagine) and his mate does the tech 2 stuff.
Vauxhall say it cannot be retro fitted but it can.
I would budget between £400 -£500 for the complete job.
(That does not include the cradle as you dont actually need it)

If you dont mind me asking why fit the genuine vauxhall one when you can get a parrot much cheaper and no need for tech 2 etc
