Morrisons supermarkets are now selling B30 biodiesel. According to some sites Vauxhall have approved it for use in Vivaro and Movano vans.
Does anyone know about using it in a veccy cdti?

As far as i'm aware mate its no good for the CDTi Vec.
No, it'll screw up the injectors.
The book says 5% bio/95% mineral blend is as much as the Vec can take...
but then there's the confusingly similar engines in the Vivaro, for example the 1.9 CDTi... seen it on a badge on the back of the van, so it must be true! What's the difference in the van units compared to the car units?
B30 hasn't been approved for the Vectra CDTIs, as far as I know.
Would void any warranty on the car if you use it.
this may help

I think the high pressure fuel pump plays a big factor into it, in that Bio doesn't have the lubrication properties required for the pump.
Aren't the vans running Renault engines?
The Vec C is ONLY rated to the 5% bio that can be in standard road diesel which comforms to EN590.
Using anything higher MAY invalidate for engine and fuel system warranty.
Thanks to all who replied to B30 biodiesel. Rushy thanks for the email.
Stealers have confirmed do NOT use
Also said all veccy diesel gearboxes are clunky like that, all have juddering clutches, of course would have been replaced free of charge if you had reported it before 18.5K miles but yours has done 19k therefore you must pay.
Not the best visit I ever had.
Guess the above items are for another forum.
