Im not 100% my veccy is driving like it should, its quite sluggish to be honest at low revs is this common, Im considering a remap from Angel tuning, I chose them as they are fairly close to me, they charge £300 for the 2.2dti but then say this:

PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT REMAP ANY VAUXHALL DIESEL WITH A DENSO ECU

Does the 2.2dti have a denso ecu?

What are other people opinion of the 2.2dti is it a powerful car or is it sluggish? I can feel the turbo kick in around 2000rpm but its not something to shout about.

Have you tried using super plus diesel for a few tank fulls to see if this helps?

Have a look at these guys, got one on my motor (3.0V6) and love it

to be honest I havent tried that, thanks for the link is that basically a tuning box? Im just unsure of those as they trick the ECU (please corrct me if Im wrong)

How are you getting on with regards to fuel economy and component failure since you've had this mod?

You need to change the oil and do the fuel filter, this helps, if it's still sluggy after consider a new MAF.

Not entirely sure how they work, But after seeing that Quentin Wilson fitted one to his own Jaguar, I gave it a go.

Fuel economy, has gone up, about 8-10mpg on the motorway, around town its pretty much the same, it HASNT lowered the consumption.

The only thing that packed up was the unit itself, turns out the lead that connects the box to the unit was faulty (manufacturers fault), they swapped it over with a different style lead, all in a matter of days. Dead easy to fit, and the car feels superb, much smoother, and less smoke.

You will never get much out of the 2.2 DTi, the turbo is not up to much above standard power.

I had a 2.2 DTi and had it re-mapped, was not at all impressed with the result to be honest, and that was on the lighter Vectra B.

A new turbo? For what reason, if you think that your turbo may be knackered and not running right, then yes a new one will make a difference.

If your thinking of a hybrid, forget it, you will not gain enough and would be a waste of money.

Based on what? Did you have the current one tested to ascertain if it was faulty? If not, then that's an expensive way of going about testing to see what the problem is.

Hopefully it wasn't based on this reply?....
