Default Holy scary Insignia engine batman

Had anyone looked at Opels graphgs for the 2.0CDTTI yet? There's no torque curve, just a suddent impact of output...

Sorry, these computers wont let me post the images but have a look under Inovation/Engines...

Yes, wow, but not entirely in a good way.

That huge pulse of torque at 2000rpm = crick in neck, then as you accelerate, it all falls away until you change gear to get back to 2000rpm again

Compare it to the nice smooth pull all the way up to 5500rpm you would get from one of these (and weep at the emissions figure)

Just out of interest, how does that compare to the current 2.8V6 curves?

The CDTTI has a higher peak torque than the 2.8T as standard by about 40-50NM. It reaches the 2.8Ts max torque by about 1700rpm and stays above it until 3500rpm. With a little remapping and some water injection... I do hope they stay afloat long enough for me to get one!

I think the diesel graph looks great. Notice there is 300 Nm available at just 1000 rpm (85 Nm more than the 2.8 petrol @ 1000rpm), with antother 100 Nm boost between 1000-2000 rpm. Now that's motoring.
