that price is below vauxhall partners price
that's if vauxhall are still around when the insignia is meant to be launched
What happens to the new models if GM collapse?
If GM collapse, then they stop trading. Any models MAY be bought by another company - but who knows?
If GM Europe is allowed to collapse, I will eat my gloves.
They are old, and even mustard / tomato sauce would not help.
dv.
It will be a sad day to see GM / Vauxhall go.
Not looking good though, is it.
What exactly is this offer here? A brand new Insignia, the same as buying from a dealer, for a little over 11K? That's ridiculous.
I wonder if it's some sort of HP deal.
All they are doing is stating that the very base spec Insignia is on offer, I would imagine that it is the base model at £15995, then with the 12% partners discount and FDA on offer, it brings it down to £12K.
I think that if GM USA collapses, the VX/Opel brands may well be taken over in a joint venture by Euro governments such as ours, Germany,Belgium and maybe Sweden to save Saab as well, which imo wouldn't be a bad idea.
Well there is a 2.0CDTI Insignia sitting in the Newbury show room now, so I'll be having a run in that when I get back and see if it's worth the fuss but I will probably wait and see if the more powerful models come. If not, I could maybe pick one up cheap without a warrenty.
Saab is under "Strategic Review", which means that it will either be sold off or closed completely.
