Yes, especially once on the move!
The 3.0 V6 CDTI is just over a second faster to 60mph, but nearly two seconds between 30 and 50 mph

Well for what it's worth at full chat away from R'bouts etc. My 1.9 was left behind by Catermans (now phatty's) 3.0. Caught up a bit on the brakes but it was quicker once on the move as said.

If fuel economy isn't an issue, go for the 3.0 (bit of a scooby killer torque wise). If you want better economy, get a 1.9 and still have plenty of poke

I have experience on neither engine driving wise, but given the current values and the knowledge of possible problems some 1.9CDTi's, It would have to be a 3.0 for me!!

Yep, in the midrange a 3.0 CDTI is quicker than both the 2.0T and the 3.2 V6, according to VX's published figures. And it's got bucket loads of torque.

Wouldn't touch the 1.9 with a very long pole, to unreliable. Speed? not much in it unless your moving. The 1.9 is much better on the fuel.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

V6 is more refined and makes a wonderful noise.Described by many as a 'diesel for petrol heads'!

All depends on how lucky you are mate. I haven't had a single problem with mine in 22K in just over a year...

But yes, some people have had no end of problems with them...
