    Default tyre Pressures

    HI i have a vectrs 1.9cdti150bhp 5 door hatch running standard tyres what tyre pressures should i be using as the manual i got with the car does not state the correct tyre pressures for my car...

    The recommended pressures should be stated on a sticker on the driver's 'B' pillar - at least they are on mine. I've experimented a little and found that 35 to 36psi gives a nice balance of ride quality to handling sharpness. The sticker says 32psi.

    Doug, what tyres are you running those pressure's on. I've got hard compound Bridgestone Turanza's running 32psi, dependant on your tyres I might pump them up a little and trial it.

    As a rule of thumb I was always taught tyre pressure = wheel size x 2. Therefore 17 inch wheels have a tyre pressure of 34 Psi 16 inch = 32Psi etc. This was only to be used as an interim measure until you found out the exact measurement
