    Default Counterfeit Goods

I bought some Gillette Mach 3 turbo blades off Ebay earlier this yeah at a decent price, When I started to use them, I found they were a little rougher than what I usually found, but thought nothing of it.

2 weeks ago, I used a brand new blade out of the sealed packet, took one stroke with it and nearly took my eye out, the piece of metal that sits over the blade, sprung up and stuck out at 90 degrees.

I contacted Gillette about this and they were VERY concerned (fair enough), They asked if I was ok and to see a doctor if needs be, I only cut my cheek and it wasnt too bad, They sent me a prepaid envelope to send the faulty blade back to them and also sent me a £10 gift voucher too (nice).

Today they have sent me another letter, asking where I bought the blades from as they are counterfeit ones, I was gobsmacked, I think I saved about £5 buying 24 blades off Ebay.

Ive got to fill in a report now and send it back to Gillette with the sellers details, there going to prosecute the seller.

At first, I thought thats not fair, then I thought, if I had lost an eye through this, would the seller give a **** about me?

Yikes! The dangers of buying from eBay! - literally!!

Unfortunately, would you believe, razor blades are one of the most counterfeited items! They're also one of the most nicked from supermarkets etc. - hence why they normally keep them behind the counter or in the large tagged plastic cases on the shelves. basically they're a high value item for their size so a lot of ££££ for the scrotes with something that doesn't need a lot of storage space.
