The day has finally come I am moving tomorrow!!
Van booked, last bit of packing to do tonight
Should be in by late afternoon!!
Also my last day at work today till after Christmas,so you would think that life could not be better?!
No I have a big problem!!
BT say that they cannot connect my till after Christmas which means no broadband. No internet!! No Forum!!
Don't know how I am going to cope without it!!!
Well done you - my move is booked a week on Monday and the guy buying our house is still arguing about stuff that a few years ago would be considered as retention works to be sorted after exchange and completion. Everything else in the chain is lined up ready to go - it's just no room at the inn... yet.
Of course, having everything stuck in the post is also LOADS of fun... I've ended up being my own courier for things that need signatures, because otherwise nothing is getting anywhere fast and some stuff has been lost twice already in the last 10 days. I can't believe how much I'm paying for this Scheißeservice.
As for t'internet - the place I'm moving is already connected, but there's the MAC switch-over thing to complete, which will no doubt be delayed by the BT office Christmas party - at least I have the option of hooking my mobile up to the PC and using that (got a good data contract on it and have done this several times before).
Congrats - and as one of my colleagues said - "Are the press coming round to do a 'man sells house; shock news event!' story?"!
Pop in to work at Windsor and use theirs or get a laptop and sit outside in the car and use their WiFi.
