    Default Washer repair

    Folks,

Put my Vectra C into Vauxhall this morning to investigate why my Windscreen Washer Jets arent working...hoping to get charged 20 quid for them to be cleaned out (lazy really not doing it myself).

Anyway...their answer is that the car needs a new washer pump, and a motor for £220 fitted!!

I can obviously get these parts from an independant supplier and fit myself for less than half of that, but was wondering if this sounds as much a lot of bull***t to anybody else as it does to me?

Motor/Pump seems to run ok...water still trickling out but feels like system clogged only.

A few members on here have had the same issue and as you say its a clogged system,so strip it all out and clean pipes and tank, that should solve your problem.......

Tell them to jog on! Test the pump in a temp washer bottle.

I would clean it out yourself first unless you have money to burn.
