painting lower valance

just a quick one for those who have painted there lower front valance. what did you use and how did you do it ? my front bumper is coming off again soon so was thinking about giving it a coat of paint.

if it goes wrong then ill get a front valance. but i don't want to do that as i have big speed bumps on my way to work. and don't really want to shed out £150+ to rip it off later

One would assume you'd use plastic-specific primer, followed by the topcoat, followed by lacquer.

Hi Lump, I got the XP front splitter and painted it myself. My black vallance used to catch on the driveway into my house but my XP splitter does not. Once fitted I noticed that it is actually 1-1.5cm shorter than the black vallance and I have had no problems going over speed bumps.

I didn't paint mine myself, but the place that did it just used a decent amount of plasticiser in the paint to allow for flexing.
