    Default 2.0T battery

Think I've got a dead battery on my hands - just getting the clicking noise.

Currently got the original GM 12V 66AH battery. Rang dealer for a replacement and they said battery listed for a 2.0T is a 55AH.

I'm tempted by the price - £39+VAT but don't think I should downsize...

Any ideas what the correct battery is for a 2.0T?

Also, anyone got an opinion on these "GO" batteries that Vauxhall now sell?

    Thanks

My motor factors say a 60AH is the correct size for a 2.0T.

I've just checked the Varta website and they list 70, 77 or 74 AH for a 2.0T (depending on whether you want an Ultra, Silver or Blue)

    Even more confused now.

It's the 3 digit code that is the identifier for batteries, not the Ah rating. Cold cranking amps is also important.

Ring around for these battery codes, and compare prices. Looks like any one of these will do the job
