Default No Rolling Road for Me.....

Just come back from a 2pm Rolling Road Power Run appointment...

My car has 0 bhp and 0 nm torque

When I got there, he said.... has it got traction control. I said Yes.

He said.... can you turn it off. I said No.

He said.... cant rolling road it then unless I remove the TC fuse. Have you got the manual. I said No, why would I carry a manual.

He said.... cant do it then.

So my car has 0 bhp and 0 nm torque

I don't think it's anything to do with the operator Andy, it's the car that is stopping things. I posted a while back about TC and rolling roads after my experiences.

I can't understand how, and the others guys that Paul mentioned managed to run on a RR with TC turned on! As as soon as mine went on a RR the TC kicked in as with the front wheels moving and the rears stationery, the car thinks the fronts are spinning like billyo and kicks in the TC. I wonder if your TC has been turned off for a RR and never turned back on again!?

    Something else interesting he said.....

If you install a traction control switch (non standard fit) then it would also turn off the airbags, as the switch controls this feature within the ECU ??

That was a bit worrying... does anyone know anything about this one ??

As Paul, I think the bit about airbags is bollox, but the TC/RR but is correct. You normally can't run a car on a RR with TC turned on. Baffled as to how some guys have.
