confused New Turbo, Inlet Manfiold, and EGR valve and Still Losing Power

    Hi

Ok, I got a 54 Signum 1.9cdti a while ago, and I love it... but god Ive had some problems....

In the last 3 months I have replaced the inlet manifold and turbo due to some fairly serious issues... and it was going fine.

Towards MOT it felt a bit sluggish and there was a bit of a misfire occasionally... So i was all set just to clean the injector loom wiring...I thew in some injector cleaner...

The car passed the MOT fine. And subsequently broke down the following day... completely out of the blue. Struggled to start and then misfiring. Absolubtly no power and lumpy not an even close aproximation.

I cleaned, and then replaced the EGR, and the car seemed to be running fine.Great in fact!

    BUT

A few days on the car seems to becoming heavy on acceleration again....

Any ideas? Could I also have injector problems? Fuel filter(although the AA test said the pressure was fine).... Electronics?

    Help!?

    G

    #3 injector issue maybe? - http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62925 - becoming a common problem on the 1.9.

    Thanks, tried cleaning again.

No real judder any more and just re-cleaned the plugs, just feels 'heavy' when driving... no real Umph, less acceleration, which was there immediately after I changed the EGR valve...

Yep, but it may be the plug/wiring that needs replaced. Have you inspected the wiring on #3 closely?

Will do! Very carefully having just read a few posts! Thanks!

Do you think it could be anything else....? instead of doing this bit by bit.. I'd like to finally resolve all the problems!!!

It's safer to do it bit by bit then if you have further problems you know where to look

    Default Throttle assembley

Hi Mate, Iv'e got a Vectra 1.9cdti (150) with the same problem. Today I have taken off the throttle assembly and it was made up with crap. There are a couple of veins for the air to circulate from the egr valve that were completely blocked with crud. Cleaned these out and got about half a cup full of crap out the inlet manifold.

Turbo now running at about 90% and more to the gallon.

    Hope this helps.
