towbar wiring

does the mentioned towbar kit from vauxhalls 93171407 come with a plug in module or is that separate
its just there is a vectra towbar kit on ebay says genuine vauxhall but doesnt apper to be a module in the pic and no mention off

Yes, the module to plug into the REC comes in that wiring kit - so check with the seller that it's included as I don't think you can buy it separately. That's the 12N kit as you probably realise. If you wanted 12S then you need to buy an additional kit.

As above, I can't see any module in their either. You can wire it in without the module but it's so much easier with the module.

You do know that to buy that kit new from Vx is somewhere, from memory, around £30 I'm sure. If it's more it's not much more.

Not useless, just more expensive to buy a module / kit or wire it up yourself - which is virtually free, but takes a bit of time.

just phoned my local dealer lookers and they want 41.58 inc vat for 12n and 39.10 inc vat for the 12s just forgot to ask if the module was in with it oops

Yep, prices sound about right. I thought it was nearer £40 for the kit after I posted earlier.
