Default Signum 3.0 CDTi V6 Auto MPG Question

Guys, I am currently loolking at a Signum Elite 3.0 CDTi V6 Auto, what do you guys honestly get mpg wise out of this car.

My old Signum V6 CDTi Elite was anywhere between 37mpg and 42mpg. I know the book states only 1.2mpg difference, but I would like to know what it's like in the real world.

    Cheers

32-34 mpg over 250 miles weekly commuting on A roads, me personally reckon the dpf robs it of a decent mpg but it is a cracking drive

Do the euro4 3.0 CDTI autos have reduced engine torque compared to the manual?
    I know the older 3.0 CDTI autos had a drastic reduction in torque -30 lb/ft : -

The Euro 4 cars are 295lb/ft for manual and auto.

The car I have found is in Ultra Blue, Elite with the following :-

    AFL
    Parking Sensors
    Blue Tooth
    Electric Sunroof

But only the 17" wheels, and it's up for £13500, 2007 57 plate with 8000 miles.

Not sure what to do, the 1.9 150 auto according to the book is only 1mpg better than the 3.0!

Well I just came back on Sunday from Kilve, Somerset 235 miles, I was driving it pretty hard and fast (M5, M4, M23) and overall I managed 34 MPG.

Except someone in a 1.9 CDTI just would not let me pass on the M4, he refused to move over.

I went there all gentle - 85-90 and averaged 37 MPG

So pick and choose, I really give up trying to monitor or improve the MPG

I consistently get 43 mpg doing mainly motorway miles. Start getting it around town and it drops by anything up to 10 mpg. On a full tank, I can get around 480 miles with some steady driving.

Oh, it's an 04 Signum Design.

Yep, IMO if you must have an auto diesel vec, the 3.0 is the best choice. Negligible difference in fuel consumption apparently, as the 1.9 auto is quite a guzzler for some reason.
